Flying Instructor Training

Students taking this course are all intent on teaching the next generation of students.

Some, when they complete the course, will make teaching a career but most are using the skill of teaching other students to allow them to 'build' hours as another step towards an airline career.

Course & Criteria
The course consists of 30 hours of training but you require to have flown 200 hours prior to commencement of training.

All FI (A) courses utilise our Grob 115D2 Heron aircraft.    This aircraft is similar to the Grob Tutor used for elementary flying training by the RAF, but has a 160 HP engine and has fixed pitch propeller.     Being a very comfortable and accommodating training aircraft this is a vast improvement over the Cessna 152.    The visibility from the cockpit is superb and the aircraft is fully aerobatic!!!
