The European (JAR) Private Pilot's Licence is a comprehensive course, which will take you a minimum of 45 hours to achieve. PPL students can start to log hours towards their licence at the age of 14 and they must be 16 years old before they take their first solo flight.
The UK NPPL was introduced in August 2002. This course follows the same syllabus as the PPL but there is less instrument-based training and is achieved with a minimum of 32 hours.
We offer the NPPL-(National Private Pilot Licence) for those who wish to hire or use their own aircraft for recreational flying.
For those who are wishing to go further for a Commercial Aviation Career and take the Modular Route, the PPL-(Private Pilot Licence) is the first step.
